Recently, a client had asked me whether Dynamics NAV had user-defined fields (i.e. UDF). My knee-jerk response was “No, NAV is so easily customized to meet a company’s needs that it does not need to use UDFs”. However, in retrospect, I was incorrect. Not only does NAV have UDFs, but also it essentially has UNLIMITED UDFs. That is incredible given that most ERP systems only have 3 to 5 UDFs!
